Sheehy & Sheehy, Esqs. was founded in 1955 by John J. Sheehy, Sr. and Marian V. Rooney-Sheehy at the Five Corners in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Since that time, the firm has been rated at the highest rating, an "AV," by Martindale Hubbell, the international lawyers' rating firm.  In 1988 Mr. Sheehy's nephew, John J. Sheehy, Jr. joined the firm.  As a former prosecutor, he brought an extensive background in the criminal area as well as a wealth of litigation experience.  John J. Sheehy, Jr. soon thereafter opened an office in Toms River, New Jersey, which is where the majority of the firm's business is performed today. In the summer of 2003, John J. Sheehy, Jr.'s son, John E. Sheehy, joined the firm.  He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bar Associations
